The Pillars of Our High-Value Micro-School

  • This is the HIGHEST VALUE of Bloom Beautiful Academy. Our students benefit from a small class size while being a part of a community of peers. This enhances the child’s learning experience! Research proves children learn faster and perform better in smaller classes. This is a result of individual attention, increased participation, and better communication between the teacher and student!

  • Your child is special and we value his/her participation in our school. Having a small community allows for a culture of trust and collaboration. Your child’s unique personality is taken into consideration when lessons are being created. It is essential to determine how your child learns, processes information, and communicates in an effort to grow and gain confidence.

  • Students are encouraged to work with dedication and excellence. Independent and cooperative learning methods are infused through instructional times. Students have opportunities to engage in passion projects, choices throughout the day, and time spent outdoors discovering and creating.

  • Our days will be structured to allow time for children to learn outdoors, go on field trips, explore, create, discover, sing, play, cook, garden, and learn skills related to real life! Your child has a unique opportunity to build leadership skills and to participate in community service projects.

  • We believe that God is the Creator and Sustainer of our school. We seek to instill biblical/Christian values into our day-to-day routines. Our learners pray and engage in devotions. It is our desire to help children have a biblical worldview.

  • We value communication in an effort to work collaboratively with our families and students. Emails and newsletters will be sent to all parents on a consistent basis, so the families are aware of the academic focus and special events.

  • We will strive to teach organizational skills, what it means to be responsible, and other skills that will help each student to be a productive member of society.

  • As children continue on their learning path, parents will be continually updated. Students will learn content in a group setting and also work independently. Bloom Beautiful Academy is not standards-centered, but student-centered. We believe our children are more than a quantified measurement, therefore letter grades are not used as a means of progress. Rather, students are assessed through coaching, projects, daily work, and useful progress monitoring techniques. As the learning progression continues, students will be assessed on his/her level throughout unit studies and with individualized learning goals.

All completed work and assessments will come home at the end of each week for record keeping. Parents should file all completed work and assessments in a portfolio for 2 years, according to Florida Homeschool Law. The portfolio is to be reviewed by a certified Florida Teacher at the end of the school year.
